International Seminar: Sustainability of Littoral Zones in the Context of the Contemporary Climate Change, experiences to a common challenge, Santiago, Chile, 23-34 November 2023.

Dr Julio Salcedo-Castro was invited to be part of the International Seminar: Sustainability of Littoral Zones in the Context of the Contemporary Climate Change, experiences to a common challenge, Santiago, Chile, 23-34 November 2023. Julio's presentation was “Effect of marine heatwaves on coastal and estuarine ecosystems in the context of the contemporary climate change”. The week after this seminar (November 27 to 1st December), Julio was also invited to be part of some activities at the University of La Serena, as a collaboration focused on coastal wetlands and marine heatwaves. These activities were aligned with the goals of the NESP Climate Systems Hub, Oceans and coasts: connecting climate variability and extremes across scales, in which Prof Neil Holbrook is a co-lead.
